In a feasibility trial of 160 adults with lifetime alcohol use disorder who were not seeking treatment, those randomised to a computer-delivered CBT programme reduced their percentage of drinking days faster and were significantly less likely to report any heavy drinking day at one-month follow-up than an assessment-only control group.
