Switching from Hevy

A Hevy alternative in your browser

Hevy is a good app. If what you want is the same job — sets, reps and weights, last session beside every set, a rest timer that starts itself — without an install, an account or a paid tier, that is what the FitTools gym tracker is. And your Hevy history comes with you.

Bring your history: four steps

  1. In Hevy, open Settings and export your workout data as CSV.
  2. Open the gym tracker's History tab and choose “Import from another app”.
  3. Pick the file. The unit is read from the file's own header and every exercise name we cannot confidently match is listed for your call — nothing is guessed.
  4. Import. Your records, bests and trends now include your whole Hevy history.

Records are checked against your imported sessions too, so your first workout here will not claim a PR you actually set months ago in Hevy.

Fair questions

Is this really free, or is there a catch?
Free throughout. Every feature — routines, records, trends, import and export — works without paying, without an account and without ads. Signed out, your log lives on your device; a free account adds cross-device sync.
Can I import my Hevy workout history?
Yes. Export your data as CSV from Hevy, then import it from the tracker's History tab. Weights, reps, set types and dates come across, and your records and trend charts are recalculated over the full history.
Do I lose anything by not having a native app?
The tracker works offline once loaded, keeps your screen awake during a session, and can be added to your phone's home screen so it opens full-screen like an app. The main practical difference is that there is nothing to install or update.
What if I switch back, or try something else later?
Export your log as CSV or JSON whenever you like. Your training history is yours, and taking it elsewhere is one tap — the same courtesy we extend on the way in.

The honest close: if you love Hevy, keep using it — and export a CSV now and then, because a training history should never be stuck anywhere. If you would rather not install or pay for anything, start below and the first set takes thirty seconds.
