What it is

Sermorelin is a shortened synthetic version of natural growth-hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). Unlike most compounds in this section, it has a genuine medical history — which the modern "anti-ageing clinic" marketing leans on heavily.

It corresponds to the active fragment of GHRH. It has been produced as a pharmaceutical agent, though the branded product was later discontinued in the US.

But the leap from that to reversing ageing or building muscle in healthy adults is not supported by good long-term human trials — which is where the modern marketing overreaches.
