In people with prediabetes or type 2 diabetes, CoQ10 supplementation significantly reduced triglycerides, fasting blood sugar, HbA1c, insulin resistance and the inflammation marker C-reactive protein, and raised HDL, across 20 randomised trials; total cholesterol, LDL and blood pressure did not change.
