Probiotics may take the edge off athlete fatigue

Across 13 blinded, placebo-controlled trials, most reported some benefit from daily probiotics: less perceived fatigue, fewer gut complaints, fewer upper respiratory infections or better endurance. Maximal oxygen uptake did not budge, and the strains and doses tested varied widely.
