Open questions remain about unsupervised, real-world exercise, about why cycling in particular stood out, and about how firm these conclusions are given the moderate to low certainty of the evidence.

If you are eating in a deficit and care about blood sugar, blood fats and blood pressure rather than the scale alone, this is a reason to think aerobic exercise adds something the diet by itself does not.
