The authors searched PubMed, Embase, Web of Science and the Cochrane Library from inception to 20 December 2025, including 14 randomised controlled trials with 2,101 participants. All activity outcomes were objectively measured rather than self-reported. Risk of bias was assessed with the RoB 2.0 tool, effect sizes were pooled using random-effects models, and evidence quality was graded with the GRADE system. The interventions did not significantly improve moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (1.37 min/day, p = 0.16) or reduce sedentary time (-1.70 min/day, p = 0.79).
