Passionflower is a traditional herb for anxiety and restlessness, thought to act on GABA pathways.

Small trials suggest it may reduce anxiety (including before medical procedures) and modestly improve sleep quality, for instance as a bedtime tea. As with most calming herbs the studies are small; it is low-risk and worth a cautious trial rather than a proven treatment.
