PQQ is a small quinone compound marketed to stimulate mitochondrial biogenesis (the making of new mitochondria) and act as an antioxidant, often paired with CoQ10.
The mitochondrial-growth idea comes largely from cell and animal work, with a few small human studies suggesting effects on fatigue, sleep or inflammatory markers. The human evidence is early and thin, so its energy and cognition claims remain preliminary.
